Self-care rituals

Do you have any self-care rituals?

Firstly, what's the difference in your mind between a ritual and a routine? The difference is really the attitude and intention behind the action. While routines are often implemented because we know they are good for us and they check off the things that need to be done, rituals are viewed as more meaningful practices that take on a real sense of purpose for us.

You can make up a self-care ritual for yourself at any stage in your life and come back to it when ever the need occurs.

Common times for rituals are at new moon or full moon, or at the start of a new chapter or cycle in life. You can even have daily rituals that keep you grounded and feeling energized, such as journaling or meditating in the same spot every morning. You can really make it whatever you would like it to be.

If you are interested in trying a new ritual I urge you to sit down and write about how you would like to feel during and after this ritual so that you may have a real sense of what could be most beneficial for you.

Do you have any self-care rituals that you do already or that you would like to try? I would love to hear about them.
